A new poll by Google AdMob found that the owners of the pills, especially the use of touch screen devices to play games, The Guardian. Others popular applications including email, social networks, and mass consumption, including videos, music and ebooks.
Of the 1,430 homeowners surveyed tablet, 84 percent use the gaming device. "In search of information" came as the second most popular activity in 78 percent, followed by email (74 percent), read the news (61 percent) and the use of social networks (56 percent). Only 51 percent use their shelves for watching videos or listening to music, the study said. And e-book reading was only popular with 46 percent of respondents.
The study (PDF) also shows that the tablets, while still more popular than PCs are certainly making progress in their competition with large 28 percent identify as their main computer tablet, and 43 percent admit they spend more time using their tablet PC.
Despite the obvious benefits can take a tablet everywhere, the majority (82 percent) say they mostly use their devices at home. Only 11 percent reported using their mobile device as a tablet. A total of 68 percent of owners use their tablets at least an hour a day, with 34 percent admitting to using the device for two hours or more per day.
Although some of this information has not been a surprise (59 per cent use their shelves more books they read), the study found that 1 to 3 owners use their compressed tablet over watching television. (Which would probably explain why Time Warner and Cablevision are so eager to offer their programs on the IPAD).
Google does not explicitly mention the type of tablet of those interviewed, but since the study was conducted last month, is safe to assume that a large percentage of respondents owned by Apple iPad.
